New desserts...
February is almost here and I just looked at my try to make
recipes list for January and couldn’t help but to feel that I didn’t quite
stick to it. Oh well!!! Am not planning to beat myself up over that as I did
try other new recipes that were not on my list including a great peanut butter
trifle which I will be adding to my menu when am back in business inshalla. I
also made a fantastic new recipe “Sinful brownies” full of chocolate (milk,
white and cocoa) in addition to caramel sauce; do I need to say more!!! These are
sinful …so ladies am planning to add them to my cooking classes list inshalla
when I get back. As for this great cake; which am sharing with you today, its
for all the ladies who want to make a great cake, don’t have time and love to
Dr. their cake mix…this one is for you…(I had my friends over yesterday and they loved it)
1 package yellow or white cake mix
1 package instant lemon pudding mix
3/4 cup fresh orange juice
1/2 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
1 teaspoon lemon extract
1/3 cup fresh orange juice
2/3 cup white sugar
1/4 cup butter
Lemon Orange Cake
Ingredients1 package yellow or white cake mix
1 package instant lemon pudding mix
3/4 cup fresh orange juice
1/2 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
1 teaspoon lemon extract
1/3 cup fresh orange juice
2/3 cup white sugar
1/4 cup butter
Directions
Grease and flour a tube cake pan. Preheat oven to 350
degrees F (175-180 degrees C).
In a large bowl, stir together cake mix and pudding mix.
Make a well in the center and pour in 3/4 cup orange juice, oil, eggs and lemon
extract. Beat on low speed until blended. Scrape bowl, and beat 4 minutes on
medium speed. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven until it passes the cake test and a
tooth pick would come out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out
onto a wire rack and cool completely.
In a saucepan over medium heat, cook 1/3 cup orange juice,
sugar and butter for two minutes. Drizzle over cake.
